Want your plane wholly symmetrical? Build one side and use the mirror tool to magic in the perfect other side. You can customise pretty much everything and anything, and there are some really well thought out tools to help you realise the flight-capable machine of your dreams/nightmares. It is impressive though, there’s some serious detail that’s gone into the game.
If you have some kind of plane simulator experience, or have seen Top Gun one too many times then you’ll be a fair few steps ahead of me in the comprehension department. The main issue I found was remembering what all the technical jargon meant, honestly it was tougher than remembering the names of all the people in any given Game of Thrones episode. You’re probably gonna be spending at least an hour reading that bad boy. I went back, like a good game reviewer should and started the tutorial. So my first advice would be, do not skip the tutorial. How hard can it be to build and fly a plane, I thought. So of course I skipped through all of it. My face then kinda made a u-turn, an upside down one after being confronted with what is probably the most extensive tutorial I’ve ever seen. I mean, I got pretty excited by the initial music which sounded like something Kings of Leon might have made but sans southern-drawling vocals. Let’s just say that intricately building planes and flying them is not my idea of a good time, so accepting his challenge (and the game) filled me with sudden and even instant regret. I took this game because my boss thought it would be hilarious if I did. If you want your map to have interstate support, get my attention somehow and I'll discuss terms.// Reviews // 18th Mar 2016 - 6 years ago // By Emsey P. Works with all known mods, and works in multiplayer! KNOWN BUGS-ġ: weird textures on some parts of certain road pieces.Ģ: sometimes the roads clip visually when the camera is at certain angles.
They are a bit slippery at the moment(coincidentally good for drifting!) Don't complain.Ģ: moar roadz and better exits/entrances for highway destinationsĤ: more friction on the roads. Right now these are using placeholder textures. I plan on optimizing this in the future so that it will work with realtime reflections. I am still modelling entrance/exit ramps and connections, so these will be replaced with proper fixtures in the futureĤ: if you are having performance issues, try turning off realtime reflections in the graphics settings. Signs, more U-turn locations, and rest stops are features planned in the future.ģ: some locations just have the road dead end in the ground for now. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING MY INSTRUCTIONS.Ģ: right now there are no signs and few places to turn around, so it is very easy to get lost or go down the wrong way. DO NOT COMPLAIN THAT YOUR VEHICLE IS BOUNCY AND SLIDES LIKE ITS ON ICE. It is either a unity thing or a simpleplanes thing.ĭO NOT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED. There is a bug where wheels without suspension get little grip and bounce around on the road. If you want to use a custom setup, just set the default suspension on the wheel to max strength so that it doesn't flex. NOTES(READ THIS FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!!!):-ġ: Any vehicle that you wish to drive on the interstate MUST have the default suspension enabled on its wheels, regardless of whether or not you have a custom mechanical spring setup for suspension.
Locations soon to be connected: Maywar, Krakabloa(one existing connection at Yeagar), Snowstone Locations currently connected: Wright Airport, Wright Isle South, Wright Isle North, Sky Park City, Yeagar Airport. Everything is still in an early state, so more roadways and features are incoming, and existing routes and features are subject to change. The roadways are designed for realistically scaled vehicles. The Simpleplanes Interstate Highway System is a massive infrastructure project in the gameworld intended to connect all major islands in the game with a large, expansive network of highways.
